Saturday: Two Penguins Alternate concepts by me

Yesterday we saw team Canada concepts, today I'll show you two Pittsburgh Penguins Alternate concepts by me yours truly, one was made in 2011, and another from last year, so let's get going.

Pittsburgh Penguins Alternate concept (by me in 2011)

I took the inaugural '95 alternate jersey and give it some tweaks, using the team's current main logo, and with the touch of new style Reebok cut, and here you go this. With black, white, gradient vegas gold, and gradient grey.

Pittsburgh Penguins Alternate concept (by me in 2012)

 At first you look at this and think, it almost look like there inaugural '95 alternate jersey, indeed it's almost look like it, but I gave it some few changes, the first one was switch the grey to gold, add gold to dark gold hem stripe for good measure, and if you look at the Pens crest (including the pants as well) the gold area it'll change from gold to dark gold.

Friday: Canada, and Canada

As you see the title above it, yes it's an all team Canada post! Let's not waste time and get going.

Team Canada concept (by Caden)

This one is one of those things that Canada "SHOULD" go with instead of with one arm stripe, and Caden give this an final touch. With that it made me wanna buy it! The only down point witch doesn't matter it's just adding an icing to my cake put thin hem stripes and we got an winner! Score: 8/10

Team Canada concept (by me/yours truly)

 On this concept just simple stripes on the hem, the socks, and on the side of the pants. Simple stripes on the arms with a maple leaf cut off the end of the middle stripe. The logo of team Canada with the classic word mark from their alternate logo. The numbers, and nameplate are standard block. What score you give this concept of my?

Detroit Red Wings (Caden P.)

Well all I can say is, I hope this never happens in real life. Caden knows that too, since he wanted the jersey in a collection called Nike NHL. The jersey it's self actually looks to be a Nike equse jersey, so I will just touch on the execution errors. The striping on a Nike jersey shouldn't be on top of the stitching and there should be TV numbers on the yoke.. Also the trademark sign should never be on a jersey. One more, the logo on the white jersey is grey as the rest of the striping is white. Concept Rating 4/10 (As something nike would do) Accuracy of a Nike jersey: 8/10

Sweden

Good Job to Sweden! They stood up to the Nike tyrant. Obviously it could be better, maybe add some arm stripes? Or lose the sublimated viking ship? Nike still needs to unveil the blue jersey which should be the same thing but with the colors inverted. I would be interested to see what Nike would have done, but it's good that it would only be in the minds of Nike. Sup jersey fans?!? Caden here. I can't believe that the 100th post will be on Monday! It will feature all 3 writers and 6 concepts! Maybe more if you guys send some in! My Eagle Scout project is Saturday at the Icemen game. I am doing a food drive and it's already been well advertised by the Icemen. Inclunding Radio and TV interveiws. I want to fill a bus! So if any of you are in Evansville November 16th, Bring me some food outside the Ford Center!

The 'Nike NHL thingy is catching on and both of our concepts today are just that!"

Yay;

The sublimated flag stripes

The fact that the coloUrs aren't red and black

The flags on the stripes

The execution

Nay;

The brightness of the colors. That green should stay on the back of your blog.

The font

This may be the son of a Trainer woe, but the helmet logo is way too small

Overall, I like the creativity of this concept, and the execution is perfect. The brightness of the green especially ruins the concept for me

Buffalo Sabres Caden P. (Me)

I tried to capture the simplicity of the jerseys Nike is releasing lately, but not be too simple. As Jake pointed out my USA concept was. I also made a off color 3rd. Tell me what you think in the comments, and happy Wednasday!

Hello. Keep reading this amazing blog for some concepts. Team USA (Caden P.)

Simple much? Ok this is about as simple as it gets. Color in panels on the white, and stripe cuffs and a matching hem stripe. The red yoke is really an ugly feature on the white jersey if you ask me, and the whole design is simple, too simple, not Nike simple, but a different simple. I really dislike the crest (though it does go with the jersey). Not that there aren't any good features on it. I like the striping pattern on the blue jersey (if it was moved up), and the gold medals in the collar are a nice touch. Concept Rating 6/10

*EDIT BY CADEN* I still remain sexy as ever though! You all know that!

San Jose Sharks (Jake88/Me)

What if Nike took over the NHL? I hope that the Sharks would wear something like this. The wave striping fits in with the name and it's angled to stay similar to the last Pre-Edge jerseys.
